Biography:
King Goblin was formed in 1998. The band’s concept was an "overview of heavy metal, subdivided into a myriad of genres”.
Their sound jumps between psychedelic rock, grindcore, death metal, doom rock, and progressive rock, which is then stretched out into the stratosphere, and finally cut into thick chunks by a frightfully intolerant pasta machine.
In 2002, the band became a trio, with twin guitars & drums.
In 2004, the band shifted to amore stable formation of guitar, bass, and drums.
In 2007, the band released their first album GOBLIN KING from Smell Rot Music.
This album was praised as “Album of the Day” on Roadburn Festival’s website.
From that point until now, the influence of Sci-fi movies and space rock strengthened.
In 2009, Masashi Suzuki(Gt.) left and Kelly Churko (Hospital, AKBK) joined.
They started playing with many bands, including Blood Duster, Saviours, Black Cobra, Kylesa, Eternal Elysium, Coffins and Church of Misery..
In 2013, Kelly Churko went on hiatus due to illness, and the new guitarist Marcy (ex. Inside Charmer) joined.
January 2014, Kelly Churko passed away. From September, the band started recording the second album.
February 2016, they're going to release the second album "CRYPTOZOOLOGY" from Bonten Records.
